Revived English Garden Supplies Restaurant and Grocery
AUGUST 22, 2007 - In Somerset, England, “the back forty” is not local enough. Try “the back two.”
That’s what Barley Wood Walled Garden café is aiming for. Most of the produce for the restaurant comes from their two-acre Victorian-era garden out back. And in fact, the Better Food Company in Bristol exists to sell this produce to the public as well. Their mission? No less than “petroleum has no place in any part of the food chain.” Now that’s local.-ADS
