With the discovery that the "eat local" stand at Reading Terminal Market in Philly takes orders for locally grown and organic turkeys, I have every confidence that I will be able to do a nearly 100 percent 100-mile Thanksgiving.I just ordered my heritage-variety bird today.
My in-laws are coming for Thanksgiving, which means I need to keep things relatively
simple.My menu will include bread stuffing of some sort (I usually make mushroom herb stuffing), mashed potatoes, green beans from my garden, cranberry relish, and apple cake.I'm sure I'll add in a few more interesting dishes.
All I know for sure is that I will likely have leftovers for weeks.
