Friends Go Local For a Week in Indiana and New York
SEPTEMBER 19, 2007 - This week, my friend Liz and I are taking part in the eat local challenge and are only eating foods that are grown or raised within a 100-mile radius of our homes. Liz lives in Albany (Troy), New York, and I live in Indianapolis, Indiana. I am a vegetarian and she is not, so that will also provide for some differences in our diet. We will be posting about our challenge on our site (where readers can learn about mead, for starters), along with recipes and ideas about being good to yourself and the environment around you.
