Doubling up on Thanksgiving in Maine

Not one, but two 100-Mile Thanksgivings will be on my agenda this year. We're not Canadian - though living in Maine, we're "this close" - but when the out-of-state parents' visit coincides with Canadian Thanksgiving, we'd be crazy not to participate.
We're opting for home-grown chicken instead of turkey, along with garden-grown winter squash, green beans, potatoes, and stuffing from Maine-grown whole wheat bread. We're lucky that there are cranberries growing wild at the back of our property.I love the idea of celebrating Thanksgiving when the harvest really happens as opposed to the start of the Christmas shopping season. But we'll do it again then, just for kicks.
